Terms
Orders are accepted only under the terms described below, unless we have varied these terms in writing.

Orders
Orders will be accepted verbally, but will only be shipped after receipt of an official purchase order unless payment is made on-line or by telephone using a credit card.

Delivery
We aim to ship all orders within 1-3 working days. Delivery should be next day throughout mainland UK, outside mainland UK delivery is estimated to take 3-5 working days. The postage and packaging price will vary pending delivery destination and will be added on to the final purchase price before the checkout.

Prices quoted
The price charged to the customer will be that as listed on our website at the time of purchase. .If, by mistake, we have under priced an item, we will not be liable to supply that item to you at the stated price, provided that we notify you before we despatch the item to you. In those circumstances, we will notify the correct price to you so you can decide whether or not you wish to order the item at that price. VAT will be added at the prevailing rate, or for non-UK EC customers a valid VAT number is given. UK VAT exempt orders cannot only be accepted in writing with a signed VAT exemption certificate

Payment
Credit accounts may be opened after receipt of a completed Credit Account Application Form. A minimum initial order of £1,000 is required in order to open a credit account. All UK & Ireland Universities have been granted credit accounts with a credit limit of £5,000. Our standard terms for customers with a credit account are payment in full within 30 days of the date of invoice. Payment can be by cheque or by credit transfer direct to our bank. Customers without a credit account may pay by cheque, bank transfer or credit card.

Title
Goods will remain the property of Silverdale Scientific until payment in full is received.

Carriage charges
Goods are shipped insured by next day courier. Minimum charge is £20.00, but carriage on export, distant, heavy, bulky or high value goods orders may be more.

Damage or loss in transit
Goods are invoiced the same day they are shipped. Goods received damaged must be noted on the carriers’ delivery note at the time of receipt and sent in writing or by email to us within 3 days. Claims for damage in transit where the d/note is signed as ‘goods unexamined’ will not be accepted. Claims for damaged or missing goods must be made in writing within 7 days.

Returns
Returns will not be accepted without a RMA number. Contact Customer Services for Returns Authorisation. If you are not 100% satisfied with the item(s) you have ordered then we will give you a full refund provided that you return them to us within 14 days of receipt and in a re-saleable condition, i.e. in their original sealed packaging. Under no circumstances can software be returned once the license has been registered.

Warranty
All goods carry a minimum of 12 months return to base warranty. To claim under warranty, call to obtain a RMA number then return the goods carriage paid with all manuals and accessories, together with a copy of our original invoice. We will replace, repair or issue a credit to the value of the purchase price. Liability is restricted to goods we have supplied provided they have not been damaged, misused or tampered with. You are responsible for returning the goods to us; we will bear the cost of returning the goods after repair or replacement to the original delivery address.

Website: Privacy and data use
Our privacy policy is that we do not hold any personal data other than your contact details and email address. We never share data with third parties. We do not store your financial details. When you have registered ownership of software we have supplied, we will use the email address you give us to let you know of software updates and relevant new versions.
