Advanced System Administration Tools
EZChrom Elite's unique
design provides network-wide data management and security. Because
each user and group on the system is defined through the Windows NT
domain controller, the integrity of network security and its shared
resources is maintained. EZChrom Elite makes setup and maintenance
of laboratory projects, instruments, and users easy through the use
of System Administration Wizards. These Wizards enable the System
Administrator to quickly assign user and group access to individual
instruments, laboratories, or even entire buildings. Projects setup
ensures consistent storage of data and method files. And command-level
user access adds an additional level of control and simplicity.
Audit Trails
EZChrom Elite’s Method
Audit trail is a permanent part of the method and contains comprehensive
information including date of change, user, change (including previous
value), and reason for the change. The method audit trail can be viewed
on-screen, or printed. Because the original method is saved at the
time the data file is acquired, it is always possible to re-create
the original results, even if the method has been modified.
EZChrom Elite’s Data
Audit trail is a permanent part of the data file and tracks activities
using the stored data file. It includes time, user, activity (such
as new analysis) and the reason and is stored as part of the data
file. The audit trail can be displayed on-screen or printed.
Electronic Signature
EZChrom Elite fully
complies with 21 CFR Part 11 Electronic Signature requirements. In
addition to the display of electronic signatures on the report, the
signature information (Who, When, and Why) is stored within the data
file with a CRC checksum to prevent tampering with the signature record.
This information is also logged in the data file audit trail.

about our SS420X, see below.
SS420x High Resolution Chromatography A/D Module

The SS420x is an intelligent
analog to digital conversion module that provides remote acquisition
for up to 4 channels of data. With 1 MB of memory, the SS420x continues
to acquire data regardless of the state of the controlling computer.
Continuing Performance
The SS420x inherits
the legacy of the original SS420 Instrument Interface. Over the years,
thousands of SS420s have impressed users with their low noise, high
linearity, and reliability.
The SS420x supports
asynchronous acquisition from four channels, has four built in triggers,
and eight relays for programmable switching applications. It shares
the same proven 24-bit analog data acquisition that has established
Scientific Software, Inc. as a leader in analog acquisition. A rigorous
factory calibration and testing program ensures trouble free operation.
Serial Communication
The SS420x connects
to the PC via RS232 communication. A valuable feature of the RS232
is that the SS420x can be over 100 feet away from the computer. Now
acquisition can occur from tight spaces, remote locations, or other
areas where a PC may not be permitted.
Network Friendly
Some A/D converters
interface directly to the network. A continuous stream of digital
signal is transmitted on the network, and if there is any interruption
in transmission, precious data may be corrupted or lost.
The SS420x acquisition
occurs between the instrument and the PC, with no access required
to the network. This not only reduces network load, but also enables
data acquisition to continue even if the network goes down.
Intelligent Redundancy
Each SS420x has
its own power supply, so in the event that the PC should lose power,
acquisition will continue. It retains over an hour of data for each
channel, depending upon acquisition speed.
A built-in CPU manages
information flow from the SS420x to the computer, ensuring that information
transmitted safely from the module to the computer.
System Status is Easy to Observe
LED status indicators,
which provide start-up, data acquisition, reprogramming, and error
status are positioned to allow quick observation of system activity.

Validation

SS120C
Chromatogram Generator (pdf
data sheet 142kb)
The SS120C is a 21-bit, Ultra High Resolution
Signal Generator that can assist you in validating your chromatography
data handling software and A/D hardware. The SS120C stores digital
representations of the chromatographic patterns and outputs the patterns
as an analog (voltage) signal, just like your chromatography system
detector. Because the digital values do not change and the digital
to analog converter is highly accurate, the same signal is output
every time. The SS120C is factory calibrated using NIST traceable
instrumentation, so its accuracy is guaranteed. The SS120C is portable,
using battery or line power, for optimum noise immunity. The rechargeable
battery is capable of four hours of continuous operation between charges.
The SS120C has four built-in
patterns to test the accuracy and reproducibility of your data system.
These patterns can be generated in either 1 V full scale or 10 V full
scale ranges:
Gaussian full scale peaks: Tests
the reproducibility of data system integration.
Gaussian/2: Tests the linearity of data system peak
measurement. The first peak in a series is full scale.
Each successive peak is one-half the size of the previous
peak.
Stair Case, full scale: Tests the accuracy of the
data system A/D converter over its full scale range. The
output voltage is changed in precise increments over the selected
full range scale.
Stair Case, 100mV: Tests
the accuracy of the data system A/D converter over the lower
part of its range. The output voltage is changed in precise
increments over a 100mV range.
Virtual Peak Generator
Program
Create any chromatogram
you wish! Build a trace that relates to your analysis and download
it directly to the SS120C! Then, accurately replay any instrument
time and time again. You can test your integrator to the fullest by
adding noise, bunch peaks and a drift. This program is remarkably
easy to use. With just a few clicks, you'll be stretching your data
system to the limit.
Chromatogram
Testing Package
Chromatograms are available to test multi-level
calibrations and a wide variety of peak integration parameters. The
chromatograms are in standard ANDI *.CDF format (specified by the
Analytical Instrument Association & supported by the major data
system suppliers). In addition, these chromatogram files can be downloaded
to the SS120C Chromatogram Generator for replay to your data system,
using the Virtual Peak Generator software.
